It was a total domination of top three positions by Idlan, Irfan and Emil in Race 3 when they fled ahead of the troop, engaging in a heated battle of who will have the final win. The trio engaged in a rhythm that saw them exchanging positions in a bid to brag the winning title. Up until lap four, it was a complete pressure for the three riders to keep the end of their bargain when tragedy struck and one rider went down. For the remaining laps, Irfan and Idlan continued the show, taking active strides in the lead position. By the seventh lap, Irfan displayed dominance as he emerged at P1 and while Idlan was not ready to be defeated, Irfan went on to steal the show. He clocked in at 20’19:470s. As for the MSBK250 B Class, Muhammad Fauzi Hasan made the fastest in Race 3 but Muhd Amir Izzat Rozali bagged the Weekend Warrior trophy with the most achieved points. Throughout the race, Fauzi has shown an improved performance compared to Race 1 and Race 2. He took the ninth spot on the grid and while he grappled in the first few laps to find his pace ahead of the other riders, Fauzi only managed to take lead among the MSBK250 B Class riders from lap five onwards. He then held on to his position with the right speed ensuring that no mistakes were made and no opportunities were given to the riders tailing him. He made it to the chequered flag at 21’39:198s. Amir who has been leading with the most overall points as the fastest in Race 1 and Race 2 came in third in Race 3. Amir was seen consistently taking strides and played the smart move to keep his points counting. His strategies worked when he clocked in behind Ahmad Fariz Zafri at 21’40:625s. M. Fareez Afeez A. Rahman of SBF BIKERS grabbed the win in Race 2 for the YAMAHA Y16ZR Race MasterClass and closed the curtains for Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship. Fareez, who began the race at the third spot on the grid, was not spotted anywhere near the top ten riders in the beginning of the race. Up until the third lap, Fareez seemed to have had a hard time working his way into the top ten but in the fourth lap, he worked on his technical skills and made an entry into P9. With the troop fighting aggressively, looking for slip-stream opportunities, it was a feat that posed unpredictable challenges for all riders in the class. Nevertheless, Fareez managed to grasp hold of his pace and barged ahead of the riders at the last lap. Fareez clocked in at 17’49:135s. Commenting on the race, Fareez said, “In the beginning of the race, it was not that I wanted to remain at the back but I had issues with my machine. The lever of the gear went missing and at the first turn, I couldn’t do much. So, I followed the troop at the back and on the last lap, I tried to move forward. The showmanship between the leaders of MSBK1000 A Class concluded with Muhd Zaqhwan Zaidi of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM boasting victory in Race 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK). It was a nip and tuck between Zaqhwan and Kasma throughout the race. Zaqhwan fled to a blistering speed as the race flagged off and while Kasma took the fourth spot on the grid, he gradually pulled himself up to P2 by the third lap. Lap after lap, Zaqhwan took strides, with the lead position in hand while Kasma breathed down his neck, waiting for the opportunity to strike. Unfortunately, Zaqhwan was smooth and consistent throughout the 10-lap race and by the last lap, the gap became wider. Zaqhwan was off to a victorious speed when he marked 21’31:071s. Commenting on the race, Zaqhwan said, “I enjoyed my race earlier. For the first two laps, I took a more relaxing approach and thought that the riders behind me would make their moves. However, I realised later on that they were probably struggling with their speed. I did not know the gaps between the rider tailing me.” “I just stayed focused and kept on to a consistent pace throughout. I paid more attention to the machine and tried to understand it better. Md Syukri Mat Zoki of ESRA RACING TEAM made the fastest in Race 2 for the MSBK1000 B Class, Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship held at Sepang International Circuit. It seems like Syukri has upped his pace and further enhanced his performances in comparison to Race 1 yesterday. Taking the tenth spot on the grid, Syukri made some impressive moves throughout the race, progressively increasing his speed lap by lap. It was not until the eighth lap that Syukri finally got ahead of the riders in the MSBK1000 B Class. From then on, he showcased the right manoeuvring skills and the control of machine which led to him making the fastest time for the session. Syukri concluded the race at 23’02:675s. Commenting on the race, Syukri said, “It was really exciting to have obtained the P1 earlier. For Race 3, we will try to push further especially with the speed.” “I wouldn’t say that I confident with Race 3 but it is all about doing the best that we could. The MSBK600 Class, Race 2 saw a bold finish by Muhd Helmi Azman of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM when he grazed the finish line first in Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship held at Sepang International Circuit. Helmi was off to a good start when the race flagged off and with the unrivalled speed of the Honda machine, he was able to break ahead of Andi Farid who made a slight error in his move. Coming close behind the duo was Ibrahim who tried his best to play catch-up. For eight laps, Helmi and Andi fought for the lead position. The menacing pressure from Andi did not overwhelm Helmi as the latter continued to hold on to his momentum. At the final lap, Andi took over the lead position but Helmi was not about to be defeated. Helmi immediately worked on his next move and is determined to make the cut this time around. At the last lap, Helmi grabbed the opportunity to strike and took a swing ahead of Andi once again before bolting ahead to the finish line first. Helmi concluded the race, logging in at 21’54:458s. Muhd Idlan Hakimi of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM made his winning moves and bagged the top spot on the podium in Race 2, Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship in the MSBK250 A Class. With Farish Hafiy out for Race 2, the battle for the top three positions were among trio Idlan, Irfan and Emil. Idlan who took the second spot in Race 1 yesterday came in with a different mindset today and proved his prowess in what was seen as a challenging feat. In the first three laps, the duo of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM was unbeatable and while Emil kept picking up speed, he just couldn’t find the race pace to break in between the tight gap. Meanwhile, Idlan who was taking lead tried his best to guard his position however Irfan managed to slide ahead of him in lap 4. By lap four, Emil managed to take lead with Irfan tailing and Idlan at P3. As the race heated up between the trio and with Idlan adamant to take the win, he managed to slide back ahead. Muhd Amir Izzat Rozali of HORIZON RACING TEAM once again took the fastest score for Race 2, Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship in the for MSBK250 B Class. Amir has definitely put on a good fight throughout the race in what seemed like a bumpy ride for him in the first few laps. While he juggled between positions in the first five laps, Amir managed to swerve right back ahead of the MSBK250 B Class riders, taking lead from the sixth lap onwards. From then on, Amir maintained his pace and remained consistent with his strides and completed the race first at 21’31:540s. Commenting on the race, Amir said, “I managed to get P1 for both races so far and definitely I will give my best shot for the final race later.” “The race was undoubtedly tough. But as a rider, these challenges are unforeseeable until the time of race. It’s another day of adrenaline rush at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) and a victory for Azroy Hakeem Anuar of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM in the MSBK1000 A Class, Race 1 of Round 2, Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK). The nerve-wrecking battle between the best took a grand start when Zaqhwan who began at the second spot on the grid fled to P1 seconds after the race flagged off. While Zaqhwan held on to the position for one lap, he was then superseded by Azlan and Azroy in lap two. From then on, the fight for the finest spot was between the duo who went on a chase for three laps before Azroy who made his debut in MSBK1000 A Class in Round 2 finally flaunted his manoeuvring skills and took charge. He took a slide ahead of Azlan and kept on to his speed from the fifth lap onwards while Azlan held his pace at P2. Behind them, Zaqhwan was in a neck-to-neck battle with Kasma who was relentlessly pushing himself upward. While Zaqhwan was adamant to keep up at P3, the pressure mounted and he finally gave in to Kasma in lap six. Kasma at P3 was not satisfied. He went on to strike Azlan who was ahead of him at P2. At the final lap, Kasma took over P2 while Azroy went on to create history. Azroy made it to the chequered flag at 21’37:503s. Commenting on the race, Azroy said, “The win was unexpected but a very satisfying one. I had better pace than Azlan and I tried my best to remain consistent throughout each lap. I thought it was Kasma at the back but it seemed like he was stuck with Azlan.” “To be honest, it was quite a tiring feat. The ten-lap race seemed too long and my hands started to ache but I managed to stay on and complete the race. Khoo Chee Yen of MOBILUB SUZUKI RACING TEAM clocked in fastest in Race 1, Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) for the MSBK1000 B Class. Chee Yen took the 9 th spot on the grid when he completed the qualifying session 2’17:352s. However, he managed to get ahead of the riders in the MSBK1000 B Class in the very first lap. While Chee Yen was able to keep up to his pace and consistency, he took one position down when his closest rival overtook him at lap five. But Chee Yen who has proven his skills over the years of participation in the championship utilised his experiences well and he managed to slide back ahead, taking back the initial spot in the sixth lap. From then on, Chee Yen kept on to his momentum, taking strides, lap after lap. He held on to the position until the chequered flag. Chee Yen made his fastest in the practice session yesterday at 2’17:967s. His best time for today’s race was 2’17:150s. He completed the ten laps fastest at 23’02:629s. Commenting on the race, Chee Yen said, “My machine has been very good, finally I have gotten it back. I have a very good race engineer this week.
