ARASH PULLED A STUNNER IN RACE 1

The young men of Yamalube Y16ZR Race MasterClass race category fought a good battle in Race 1 of Round 3, Malaysia Superbike Championship in a bid to score the winning title at the Sepang International Circuit. Arash Tsunami Kamarudin of EL CHONG however beat them to the punch when he took the top spot on the podium.

Earlier in the morning, the qualifying session concluded with Ahmad Syukran Aizat Yusoff of XL MOTOR taking the pole position when he made his fastest at 2’52:229s. Abdullah Qayyum Abd Razak took the second spot on the grid with his best at 2’52:889s. At the third fastest, it was Muhd Fareez Afeez Abdul Rahman of TME MOTORSPORTS, clocking in at 2’53:459s.

During the race, Arash who took the 11th spot on the grid was seen managing his pace among the riders in the back troop waiting for the window of opportunity to strike. As the riders completed the laps one by one, he was nowhere in sight among the top five.

However, at the last lap, Arash who is known for his dexterity and the willpower to succeed pushed himself among the riders ahead of him. He made it past the huge group of riders and into the top three before finally working his magic to bolt to the chequered flag.

Arash concluded the race fastest at 17’48:604s.

Commenting on the race, Arash said, “I did not expect to win the race this time around considering I was at the back of the troop. However, on the last lap, I found an opening to move forward. At the last turn, it was even better when I was able to push further and finally, I won. I am truly happy. This win is not possible if it is not for God and I am truly thankful to Him.”

At the second spot, it was Muhd Adie Putra Sukarno of TAKONG RACING, logging in at 17’48:660s.

Abdullah Qayyum Abd Razak of NEW CHEN MOTORSPORTS took third place at 17’48:662s.
