Osama was seen struggling in Race 1 with his pace and he lost his chances for a better lap time when he crashed. Although he managed to pull through the incident, he however was not able to secure a better position. In Race 2 though, Osama played well. Taking the 5th spot on the grid, Osama maintained his composure and guarded his position well throughout the race. With his consistent speed and pace, Osama managed to retain the gap between himself and his contender. He completed the race at 22’59:404s. Commenting on the race, Osama said, “My personal expectations was not met – it was not as good as I wanted it to be. The brakes weren’t working so well. I only have about 50% of what I should have. So, I just tried to adapt to it – with new braking techniques, brake less, try to brake as early as I could so that I ride safe and finish the weekend.” “I will be happy with whatever results I get this weekend and I will deal with the brakes issues later for the next round.” Coming behind him was Teo Yew Joe at 23’00:217s. Khairul Idham Pawi of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING once again takes the win at Race 2, MSBK600 Class.of the Malaysia Superbike Championship. KIP who has been setting a benchmark this season took off with great speed and kept to his momentum throughout the race once again with his teammate trying his best to outdo his performances. While Azroy began at the second spot on the grid, he seemed to have missed a mark when he fell one position down to P3 in lap 1. However, he managed to quickly make amends and slide back into P2 in lap 2. It was then, once again a nail-biting race as the duo took speed at arm’s length in their bid to conclude the race, fastest. As Azroy attempted to cut through at the turns throughout the last few laps, KIP managed to defend his position with well-played moves. KIP made his fastest at 21’47:832s. Commenting on the race, KIP said, “The speed and pace were both equally good. I tried to stay consistent throughout the race. Duo of SIC RACING TEAM bagged the top two spots at Race 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship in the MSBK250 A Class. The duo was off to a good start with Farish taking lead in the first three laps. While the teammates were engaged in a neck-to-neck battle, Emil managed to slide ahead of Farish in the fourth lap and retained his pace for another lap before being challenged once again by Farish who swerved right back into the lead position in the sixth lap. Throughout the race, both Farish and Emil bolted far ahead of the troop with Irfan trailing seconds behind at P3. Irfan who started at the 8th spot immediately took speed as the race flagged off and by the second lap, he was comfortably grounded on P3 while trying to find his pace to join the duo ahead of him. Unfortunately, the task became impossible as they took on more laps. Farish Hafiy Farid Sezli clocked in at 20’20:832s while his teammate, Emil Idzhar Ezuan made it at 20’21:003s. Commenting on the race, Farish said, “It was a tough fight with my teammate, Emil. I tried my best to maintain my speed and pace. Then, he overtook me. Muhd Nur Haikal M. Nur Fikri bags the most points in the MSBK250 B Class of Malaysia Superbike Championship. Haikal took the 6th spot on the grid. With each lap, he was seen consistently defending his position and never took a position down. By the fourth lap, Haikal managed to take one spot up and repositioned himself at P5. Overall, Haikal performed better in Race 2 compared to Race 1 where he was positioned third. In Race 1, Haikal marked 22’37:429s. Race 2 shows an improved laptime. With that, Haikal who rode aboard the Yamaha YZF-R25 completed the 8-lap race, clocking in at 21’56:492s. It has become a breeze for Kasma who never failed to impress. Kasma who obtained the fastest time during free practice yesterday also went on a good start this morning when he clocked in fastest in the qualifying session. Taking his stance at the pole position, Kasma posed unbeatable when he circled the circuit with great confidence. Throughout the 10-lap race, Kasma never faltered even for a moment as he charged far ahead of the trail which portrayed his immense experience and manoeuvring ability. Kasma made is fastest at 21’31:844s. Commenting on the win, Kasma said, “While I am thrilled with this win, I have a bigger challenge ahead of me which is the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship which will be held in Sugo. This race also serves as a training platform for me to better enhance my performance for the coming Asian race.” “With this race, I am also able to identify the right setup of machine needed while fine tuning my riding abilities. CY Khoo has been quite the name in the MSBK Championship since his participation. In Round 2 of last season, he took the top spot on the podium with the most points. While CY Khoo did not make the fastest time during the practice session and clocked in at 2’17:144s during the qualifying session, he proved his prowess when he completed the 10-lap fastest. Commenting on the race, CY Khoo said, “Race 1 was good and it was luck on my side. I had the opportunity to strengthen my position when someone crashed ahead of me. Khairul Idham Pawi of BOON SIEW HONDA RACING TEAM carved a winning moment at the Sepang International Circuit when he bolted to the finish line first in the MSBK600 class. The season opener has been a fruitful one thus far with a good practice session the day before for Khairul fondly known as KIP. He also took the pole position on the grid when he completed the qualifying session with his fastest at 2’09:726s. Throughout the race, KIP kept on to his momentum, consistently. While the first five laps were favourable with the much-needed gap from his teammate, Azroy, he was soon challenged when Azroy pulled in closer behind him. By the seventh lap, Azroy’s diligence to take lead pushed him ahead of Khairul. It was then the beginning of a heated race between the duo. While they glided in and out of P1 and P2 at the corners, the neck-to-neck battle kept everyone at the edge of their seats at the final turn as the equally dextrous riders gambled upon the speed of the Honda CBR600RR towards the finish line. Khairul boasted victory when he finished first clocking in at 21’53:773s. Commenting on the race, “It was quite a good start for me especially in the first few laps. It gave me ample of gap from the next in line. However, after the fifth lap, I noticed Azroy getting closer to me.” “Initially, it was tough to push through so I kept consistent with my pace. The turns gave me opportunities to glide in and out but it was not until the last turn that I found the right moment to push further. He claimed the highest points when he emerged fastest. Fauzi took the 8th spot on the grid when he completed the qualifying session at 2’46:382s. Throughout the race, Fauzi handled his machine and speed consistently. Muhd Adie Putra Sukarno of TME MOTORSPORTS team pulled a stunner when he dashed across the finish line fastest in the Yamalube Yamaha Y16ZR Race MasterClass. The rider came out of nowhere towards the lap last with a striking move to create a historical moment that would make him the first winner of the newly established class. The class saw a pack of 30 riders moving closely around the circuit in a bid to grab a shot on the podium. Adie who began at the 15 th spot on the grid made it to the top three position in lap 3 but was later consumed by the riders in a highly competitive stride. Commenting on the race, “It was a tough ride. I kept pushing myself to break into the compact space in between the riders. Finally, at the last lap, I found the opportunity and I grabbed it.” Adie clocked in at 17’49:383s.
