DOUBLE WIN FOR AZROY AND KASMA, CHAMPION

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Azroy Hakeem Anuar of Boon Siew Honda Racing Team celebrated double win today in Race 3 of the MSBK1000 A race category. Earlier this morning during Race 2, the scene witnessed Kasma, Azlan and Soichiro battling for the top 3 positions before Azroy joined them from the third last position at P4. Swiftly after that, Azroy made it into top 3 while Soichiro tried to break the gap. Mid-race, Kasma had an unfortunate fall and Azroy quickly replaced him at P1. All the way, while Azlan and Soichiro battled for P2, Azroy managed his pace towards victory. Soichiro succumbed to machine issues and Azlan took P2. During Race 3 that was held earlier in the evening, Azlan once again took lead. Although Kasma attempted to slide ahead from the inside at turn 1, Azlan was quick to recover. Azroy from the third last spot on the grid made his way to P3. Seconds into the race, Kasma pulled ahead of Azlan from the outside into P1. By the end of lap 1, the trio was far ahead of the troop behind. On lap 2, turn 1, Azlan in an attempt to overtake Kasma from the inside failed consequently giving way to both Kasma and Azroy to supersede him. By the end of lap 2, Azroy made it past Kasma and took P1. Onto lap 3, Azlan also made it past Kasma and went on to attack Azroy. By mid-race, Azroy drew a gap of 1.032s away from Azlan. Azroy, with his competitive side, confidently led the way. By the last lap, Azroy was 4.428s away from his closest contender and was on his was to celebrate a double win. He concluded the race at 21’26:988s. Azlan Shah Kamarulzaman of Horizon Racing Team once again made it second at 21’31:484s. Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin of Yamaha Gen Blu Racing Team made it third and bagged the Overall Champion title at 21’34:464s. “This race, just like Race 2 earlier, it was quite a struggle for me with the machine. I don’t know why but there were so many changes made throughout the season and it should have been good but somehow, it was not. I felt like it was different and I couldn’t adapt to it well. AMIR, STOOD OUT AT SEPANG

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Md Amir Izzat Rozali of Horizon Racing Team celebrated the win and Weekend Champion today in Race 3 of the MSBK1000 B race category. This morning in Race 2, Amir fled ahead of his troop while Ming Chen and Radzi engaged in a fight for the second position. As Amir continued to pick up speed and removed himself from the pressure behind, Ming Chen and Radzi worked on their moves to stay ahead of each other. A few laps before the race ended, Ming Chen found his footing at P2. Radzi tried to match his pace but failed. Amir went on to complete the race first. Ming Chen followed suit and Radzi made it third fastest. In Race 2, Amir once again took lead with Syukri at P2 and Ming Chen at P3. While Amir once again found his pace, Syukri and Ming Chen battled before the latter overtook the former. Amir on the other hand was seen fleeing ahead as Ming Chen tried to catch up. The gap was wide enough though for Amir to play it safe, away from all threats. Meanwhile, Radzi who was trailing Kuo found his way ahead. By mid-race, the riders strode comfortably in their positions with less pressure from behind. Two more laps to go though, Kuo caught up with Radzi and attempted to strike. Radzi did not give in. He went on to guard his position after a few exchanges in position. On the last lap, Amir glided victoriously towards the finish line at 22’34:484s. Commenting on the race, Amir said, “Thanks to the team for this win. Thanks also to everyone else who have supported me throughout this season. The machine has been really good throughout and I was really comfortable riding it. Overall, the race was really awesome. I think I have improved tremendously from Round 1 to Round 2 and Round 3. So, I am really very happy about it.” Taking second spot was Hsuan Ming Chen of Dream Team at 22’38:019s. HAKIM DANISH WON RACE 3, HELMI OVERALL CHAMPION

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Md Hakim Danish of SIC Racing celebrated the win today in Race 3 of the MSBK600 race category. It was an interesting race this morning with the MSBK600 race category. Helmi took lead with Hakim Danish trailing closely behind. Although Helmi tried to break away from the pressure behind, he failed as Hakim Danish continued his attempt to supersede. On the last lap, Hakim Danish managed to overtake Helmi but Helmi refused to give up and went on to chase his contender. It was futile for Helmi when Hakim Danish took the last turn and fled towards victory first. In Race 3, Helmi once again went on to take lead with Hakim Danish at P2 and Idlan at P3. Throughout the weekend, the pattern has been the same with Helmi and Hakim Danish engaging in a fiery battle to be the best. Helmi may have lost to Hakim Danish in Race 2 but he went all out to keep his contender at bay. But Hakim Danish was a fighter too and he showcased his resilience and strength as he went on with his attempt to strike. On the third lap, Hakim Danish made it but Helmi was not about to give up and worked his moves. By mid-lap, Hakim Danish continued to dominate the circuit. Helmi kept trailing but on the 6th lap, he worked his way and bypassed Hakim Danish. With three more laps to go, the duo went on a stiff feat and once again, Hakim Danish made it past Helmi on the long-straight. On the final lap, Hakim Danish picked up speed, took the final turn and made it towards victory at 21’57:401s. Commenting the on race, Hakim Danish said, “For the final race, it was really good. I was really confident with the machine this time around. When I am on the circuit ground, I observed and learnt a lot from Abang Helmi who was really competitive. During the race earlier, I tried my best to trail and pick up on his moves and when the moment was right, I pushed towards taking the win. I thank everyone who has been supportive of me for this win.” Helmi Azman made it second and claimed the overall champion title at 21’58:406s. “This season was a real struggle from the first round but I tried my best to make it first in all the rounds. It was not easy. Just now’s race was similar to Race 2 but my main aim was to make it champion. Our goal, riding in the MSBK is more about getting the riding mileage. AZROY WON RACE 2

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Azroy Hakeem Anuar of Boon Siew Honda Racing Team was victorious in Race 2 of the MSBK1000 A race category. Yesterday, Kasma Daniel was flawless as he made swift moves around the circuit to complete the race first. Behind him though, Soichiro battled with Azlan before Azroy joined in to tackle the top three positions. On the last lap, the fight heated up between the trio before Azlan and Azroy launched their moves to take the second and third spot respectively. In Race 2, Azlan once again took lead with Soichiro and Kasma at P2 and P3. However, before lap 1 ended, Kasma found a way from the inside to take over P2. Azroy trailed the trio at P4 before making striking on lap 2. Meanwhile, Kasma who was already close to Azlan closed the gap and took lead. Before the lap ended, Kasma took a slide and fell. Azroy immediately took the opportunity to move into P1 with Soichiro close by at P2 and Azlan at P3. By mid-lap, Azroy drew a comfortable gap away from Soichiro at 1.966s. By the end of lap 6, Azroy was off the hook and no longer bounded by threats. Azlan however went on to make his moves on Soichiro but the Japanese did not budge from his position. At the last turn of lap 9, Soichiro slowed down immediately opening the path for Azlan. On the last lap, Azroy raced towards victory at 21’27:658s. Commenting on the race, Azroy said, “Thank God that I was able to win the race. Although I started at the third last position, I knew that my pace was the same as the riders ahead of me. So, I worked my way into the front troop and tried to maintain my momentum. Then, I saw Kasma had a fall so I went all out to take that spot. Towards the last few laps, I noticed that I had drawn a comfortable gap with the riders behind me so I played it safe and it all worked out. Let’s see what happens in Race 3.” Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman of Horizon Racing Team made it second at 21’30:873s. AMIR FASTEST IN RACE 2

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship happened today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Md Amir Izzat Rozali of Horizon Racing Team marked fastest today in Race 2, MSBK1000 B race category. In yesterday’s race, Amir and Ming Chen went on a heated battle while Chee Yen, Radzi and Kuo fought for the top three positions. As Amir and Ming Chen engaged in the exchange of positions, Kuo and Radzi found their way ahead of Chee Yen. On the last lap, Amir maintained his momentum and struck the fastest position while Ming Chen made it second fastest. Kuo and Radzi had one last push before Kuo made it first for the third fastest. In Race 2, Amir was strongly positioned in P1 with Ming Chen at P2 and Radzi at P3. While Amir was comfortable with his pace at P1 and off the pressure from the duo behind him, Ming Chen and Radzi battled for the next position in line and before lap 2 ended, Radzi overtook Ming Chen. The intensity between the duo mounted as they challenged each other. At P4, Kuo was left out at quite a distance. Amir on the other hand was seemingly in a good spot and with no pressure from the back, he kept to his momentum. Ming Chen and Radzi went on to compete but over the last few laps, Ming Chen picked up pace and went on ahead. On the last lap, Amir went on to claim the fastest at 22’26:217s. Hsuan Ming Chen of Dream Team maintained his momentum and took the second fastest spot at 22’35:113s. HAKIM DANISH VICTORIOUS IN RACE 2

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Md Hakim Danish of SIC Racing claimed victory in Race 2 of MSBK600 race category. It was a nerve-wrecking scene in the MSBK600 yesterday when Helmi went on to take lead with Hakim Danish injecting pressure all the way. In the last few laps, Hakim Danish’s effort bore fruits when he overtook Helmi however Helmi who had a mission for this weekend went on to retaliate and grabbed his position back. On the last lap, Helmi picked up pace and headed towards victory with Danish clocking in second. In Race 2, once again, Helmi was in full form as he went on to dominate the circuit right at the first turn. Hakim Danish who was defeated by Helmi yesterday went on a chase to bring Helmi down. By the end of lap 1, Danish overtook Helmi. At P3, Idlan kept to his pace and worked on improving with Chih Ying inching closer. On the fourth lap, Helmi cleverly took a slide from the inside and went ahead of Hakim Danish. Meanwhile, at the back of the duo, Chih Ying succeeded in closing the gaps and overtook Idlan but the latter picked worked on his moves and made it back to P3. The battle was fiery between Helmi and Hakim Danish who went on to pressure the leader relentlessly but Helmi worked steadily with the racing lines and avoided mistakes. On the final lap, Hakim Danish found his moment to strike and despite the attempts to supersede him, Helmi failed and succumbed to the second position. Hakim Danish celebrated victory at 21’53:307s. Commenting on the race, Hakim Danish said, “For Race 2, I was much better than before. I made many mistakes yesterday so I tried my best to avoid repeating those mistakes again today. The race went pretty well and I thank my team, family and friends for the support rendered.” Md Helmi Azman of Boon Siew Honda Racing finished second at 21’53:577s. GEOFFREY WINS RACE 2, IRFAN OVERALL CHAMPION

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Geoffrey Reviven Emmanuel of Gusto Racing bagged the win for Race 2 of the MSBK250 A today. Yesterday was a heated battle between Irfan, Farid and Aan Riswanto. Close behind them was Muzakkir and Geoffrey who tried to make their way into top three. Unfortunately, Muzakkir and Geoffrey slipped and were out of the equation leaving the trio, Irfan, Farid and Aan Riswanto with a better chance at the top three positions. Before the race ended, the trio engaged in one final battle before Irfan barged ahead towards victory. In Race 2, Aan Riswanto did not waste any time as he barged into P1 at turn one followed by Farid Hakimi at P2 and Irfan at P3. The trio together formed the lead troop. Before lap 1 ended, Irfan made it past Farid Hakimi and the duo went on to supersede Aan Riswanto. Onto lap 2, Farid Hakimi challenged Irfan before Aan Riswanto found his way into P2. The battle between the trio was endless as all three of them fought for the best spot. On lap 4 however, Farid seemed to have lost his pace giving ample of room for Irfan and Aan Riswanto to fight for the winning title. Shortly after that, Irfan had a fall which immediately placed Aan Riswanto at P1. Behind him, Geoffrey and Farid went on a battle for P2. With three more laps to go, Aan Riswanto fell and that was an open ticket for Geoffrey and Farid in their attempt for a win. Muzakkir took P3. Farid went on to chase Geoffrey but the latter guarded his position well. On the final lap, Geoffrey fled towards victory at 19’56:938s. Commenting on the race, Geoffrey said, “We started the season way back with nothing on the pit. I am grateful to God and thanks to my father and all the team members who have been so helpful and supportive of my racing endeavours. We had a lot of struggles over the year but I am happy to note that we managed to overcome it. This is my first win for the season and I have no words to describe the joy.” Farid Hakimi of Boon Siew Honda Racing Team made it second at 19’57:943s.  IZRUL, WEEKEND CHAMPION

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship happened today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Md Izrul Huzaimi of Horizon Racing Team was the fastest today in Race 2 of the MSBK250 B race category and also the Weekend Champion for the second time. Yesterday’s race showcased Izrul putting a good fight with his closest contenders, Rakshith and Haikal. However, Izrul was able to pull himself out of the pressure while Rakshith and Haikal battled for the next spot. Izrul maintained his composure and momentum before heading towards the finish line first. Haikal and Rakshith on the other hand made it second and third respectively. In Race 2, Izrul was quick to take lead with Rakshith behind him. Throughout the race, the position of the two riders did not change at all. While Izrul maintained his position well, Rakshith on the other hand seemed to have struggled with his pace but picked it up over the laps. With two more laps to go, Izrul showcased his dexterity in manoeuvring his machine. He was calm and composed as he went on with the right momentum. On the last lap, Izrul who has removed himself from the pressure behind him way before made it to the finish line first at 20’41:546s. Izrul consequently claimed the Weekend Champion title. Commenting on the win, Izrul said, “The race earlier was very competitive from the beginning up till the end. But I am really happy to have been able to stay consistent throughout. It has been aa great season overall for me and I have seen myself improving compared to the last season. I would like to say thank you to all my team members and family for their unending support.” Rakshith Dave of CRA Motorsports India made it second fastest at 20’41:903s. SHAHROL FASTEST IN RACE 2 AND DUCH THANH CHAMPION

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Shahrol Syazras of Malaysia was the fastest today in Race 2 of the Honda CBR250RR Challenge Cup race category and Nguyen Duch Thanh claimed overall champion title. It was a good battle between Syazras, Darwisy and Duch Thanh. While Duch Thanh showcased quite the strength with lap time during free practice sessions, Syazras and Darwisy were really good at defending their positions during the race. The scene saw the duo ahead of the troop and fighting for the best spot. However, Darwisy succumbed to Syazras who dominated the race category. Duch Thanh landed third. As usual, Darwisy and Syazras engaged in a battle while Duch Thanh found his spot behind them. The race went on with the duo in the same position with Darwisy strongly leading while Syazras worked on his pace to close the gaps. On lap 7 however, Syazras finally found his moment to strike and switched positions with Darwisy. On the final lap, Syazras began picking up speed but Darwisy was not pleased and went on to pressure the former. Meanwhile, Duch Thanh maintained his pace at P3. At the last turn, Darwisy tried to overtake from the outside but Syazras made a quick recovery before heading for a win 20’22:157s. Taking the second fastest spot was Ahmad Darwisy of Malaysia at 20’22:301s. Nguyen Duch Thanh of Vietnam of made it third fastest at 20’41:190s and claimed the overall champion title. Commenting on the championship, he said, “This is the first time I am joining in an international racing platform. It has given me a whole lot of motivation to be honest. SYUKRAN WON RACE 2 AND QAYYUM, CHAMPION

Round 3 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Ahmad Syukran Aizat of Soon Chye celebrated the win today in Race 2 of the Berjaya Sompo YAMAHA Y16ZR Race MasterClass race category. It was a never-ending battle among the Y16ZR riders as they went on to stay ahead of the troop. While the riders went on to challenge each other, a number of riders seemed dominant throughout the race. However, it was not until the last lap where the real battle began and Shafiq Ezzariq who was seen moving from the front troop to the back emerged right ahead of the others before taking victory. In Race 2 earlier this afternoon, the race went on as usual with the huge troop of riders pushing their way through to take lead. Adie Putra, among them, stood out when he emerged at the lead position by the end of lap 1 with Qayyum and Shafiq Ezzariq close behind. The action-filled six laps race then continued with an exchange of positions among the riders but a handful of riders including Qayyum, Shafiq Ezzariq and Adia Putra maintained their positions well in the front troop. By the end of the 4th lap, Aliff and Syukran began making their moves into the front troop. On the final lap, the battle intensified between Emil and Syukran however the latter succeeded at the finish line first 17’38:749s. Commenting on the race, Syukran said, “First of all, thank you to the team. The race was quite competitive to be honest. The riders were all superb. In the beginning, I stayed at the back of the troop and managed my pace. It was not until towards the last lap that I tried to find ways to move to the front. I never expected to win the race but I am really glad that I made it this weekend.” Taking the second place was Emil Idzhar of Ezuan of Hiap Aik Racing Team at 17’38:767s. Md Adie Putra Sukarno of TwoWay made it third at 17’38:815s. Ahmad Qayyum Razak of New Chen Motorsports who took the 11th spot in Race 2 concluded the season as the overall Champion. Commenting on the race, Qayyum said, “This is the first time I became a champion. This goes to my late grandmother and my family. Thank you also to the team and for the opportunity given. The race was very competitive even though I took lead of the troop many times. I tried my best but I think luck was just not on my side this weekend. Even yesterday, I could not make it. But I will learn from my mistakes and I hope to do better next season.
