IRFAN EDGED OUT RIVALS

Opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Irfan Ardiansyah of MAEZTRO NWN TUS SCK HONDA RACING bagged the win in Race 1 of the MSBK250 A category. In qualifying, Irfan Haykhal Amidi of Honda Racing Malaysia clocked the fastest lap at 2’24:739s, followed by Ahmad Afif Amran of SuperFast JRT x Rapido at 2’25:034s, and his teammate Md Akid Aziz at 2’25:561s. Haykhal made a strong start, with Afif and Irfan Ardiansyah trailing closely in P2 and P3. By Lap 4, Irfan hit 180.9km/h, overtaking both riders to lead. On Lap 7, the top three riders had created a 5:086s gap from the rest. Akid in P4 was at least 9 seconds ahead of the next rider. Irfan won the race at 19’35:767s. Afif finished second at 19’35:932s, and Haykhal third at 19’36:024s. Irfan said, “Huge thanks to my team for setting up the bike so well. I just pushed from the start and maintained focus throughout. QAYYIM LED FROM LIGHTS OUT TO CHEQUERED FLAG

Race 1 of the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Qayyim Razin Razali of HORIZON RACING TEAM took the win in the MSBK250 B category. Qayyim led strongly from the start, quickly creating a gap. Behind him, Kabilesh Rajini of TEAM RACR CASTROL POWER1 and Carlsen Jacob Solis of SSC – HONDA PHILIPPINES – GS BAT battled for P2. Kabilesh’s podium hopes ended early when he crashed on Lap 3. Qayyim secured the win at 20’31:800s. On the final turn, Carlsen overtook Huang Pin-Hung of TRIPLE A GARAGE, finishing second at 20’43:641s, with Huang taking third at 20’43:972s. Qayyim said, “In the race, I just focused on maintaining my pace at the front to build a gap. Alhamdulillah, I managed to take the top spot on the podium today. AKID OUTPACED RIVALS

Race 1 of the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP unfolded at the iconic PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit today, where Md Akid Md Shah Khearul Nisian of PS RACING TEAM claimed victory in the YAMAHA Y16ZR Race MasterClass category. Earlier today during the qualifying session, Ahmad Iqram Danish Ahmad Ghazali of BAN HWA MOTORSPORT clocked the fastest lap at 2’53:262s, giving him a solid advantage for the race. The second-fastest was Mohd Ikram Dani Mohd Esa of LKT RACING at 2’53:286s, followed by Md Akid Md Shah Khearul Nisian of PS RACING TEAM with a time of 2’54:606s. Iqram took the early lead once the race began, followed by Ikram Dani at P2 and Raiyan Khardanee Md Sanusi of T.K.WONG RACING in P3. The race was intensely competitive, with frequent position changes lap after lap as riders battled fiercely for the top spot. Among those who stood out in the front group were Raiyan, Muhd Al Syafiq Muhd Al Amirul Zaki of ALL BIKES, and Md Aqil Danial Nasrul of P D BAN HIN RACING, who held their positions amid heavy pressure. On the final lap, the intensity peaked as the lead pack began overtaking aggressively. Akid emerged from the chaos to cross the finish line first with a time of 17’51:651s. Akid said, “In the race just now, I focused on maintaining my pace while staying behind the front group to look for opportunities in the corners. I pushed hard on the final lap to go for the win. Honestly, I didn’t expect to win, but I gave it my all—and Alhamdulillah, it paid off today!” Taking second place was Al Syafiq at 17’51:998s, while Ahmad Jebat Zulkarnain of HK MOTOR secured third at 17’52:035s. IZAM TIMED IT RIGHT

The opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Muhd Izam Ikmal Izamli of GTMAX took the win today in Race 1 of the Berjaya Sompo YAMAHA R15M Race Elites category. During the qualifying session this morning, Asyraff Zaquan Zainal Raif of TKC Racing posted the fastest lap time at 2’52:433s. The second-fastest was Muhd Khairi Asyraf Mahmood of SINGDECA DYNAMIC at 2’52:490s, followed by Abdullah Qayyum Abd Razak of XL MOTOR with a time of 2’53:175s. Izam led the group at the race start. Although he was overtaken a few times, he managed to reclaim the lead with determination. It was a tightly contested battle throughout, and with such a narrow gap between riders, it was difficult to predict the winner. By Lap 6, Md Adie Putra Sukarno of WELLY ASSORTED RAWANG RACING TEAM surged to the front, picking up speed to distance himself from the pack. On the final straight, just as Adie looked set to clinch the victory, Izam executed a perfectly timed move to overtake and cross the finish line first with a time of 20’22:541s. Adie finished second at 20’22:579s, followed by Muhd Iqbal Amri Abdul Malek of HENN BIKERS RACING at 20’22:668s. Izam said, “I just focused on my pace and, as always, tried to maintain the gap with the other riders. But it wasn’t easy, especially in this one-make category. At one point, I was stuck in the middle of the group—it was aggressive racing with riders on all sides. I was lucky on the last lap to get a really good slipstream and gave it that extra push. AZROY CONQUERED PRACTICE SESSION

The MSBK1000 A category at the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, where Azroy Hakeem Anuar of Honda Racing Malaysia emerged as the fastest overall in the combined practice sessions. Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia led the way in Practice 1, setting the fastest lap time of 2’07:574s. He was followed by Azroy in second with a time of 2’07:883s, and Lachlan Epis of Savitar Team Asia in third at 2’08:037s. In Practice 2, Azroy further improved his performance, posting a best lap time of 2’06:975s, reaching a top speed of 157.16 km/h to take the lead. Kasma placed second after setting a lap time of 2’07:400s, just 0:425s behind Azroy. Muhammad Helmi Azman of Honda Racing Malaysia, meanwhile, posted the third-fastest lap time of 2’07:659s. With the combined results from both practice sessions, Azroy was the fastest overall, while Kasma placed second and Helmi took third. KIEN HUEY FASTEST ON DAY ONE

The practice sessions in the MSBK1000 B category at the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, where Law Kien Huey of KHSRT topped the combined practice sessions. In Practice 1, Kien Huey set the fastest lap time of 2’20:701s, placing him in first position. Tengku Irfan Affandy from Malaysia followed in second with a time of 2’20:933s, while Theva Kumaran of Mobilub Suzuki Racing Team took third place with a time of 2’21:129s. In Practice 2, Kien Huey maintained first position with the fastest lap time of 2’20:978s. He JunPeng of Silver Steed Racing Team came in second with a time of 2’21:648s, while Theva finished in third place with a time of 2’22:546s. After the combined results, Kien Huey emerged as the fastest overall, with Tengku Irfan in second and Theva in third. KHAIRUL TOPPED PRACTICE SESSIONS

The MSBK600 category at the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP, held today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, saw Khairul Idham Pawi from Honda Racing Malaysia top the combined practice sessions. Khairul emerged fastest in Practice 1, setting a best lap time of 2’11:814s. Farres Putra Mohd Fadhil of Hong Leong Yamaha Malaysia followed in second with a time of 2’15:404s, while Cao Viet Nam from Vietnam secured third place with a time of 2’16:285s. In Practice 2, Khairul once again led the pack, with his lap time of 2’12:071s, achieving a speed of 151.09 km/h on lap 10. Farres remained in second with a time of 2’14:042s, just 1.971s behind Khairul, while Cao Viet Nam finished in third with a time of 2’15:382s. The combined results from both practice sessions confirmed Khairul as the fastest overall, with Farres in second and Viet Nam in third. Khairul commented, “Today, I tried many things on my bike, but we didn’t get the setup that I want. Because compared to FP1, my lap time was slower. Ahmad Afif Amran of SuperFast JRT x Rapido secured second place with a time of 2’27:052s, followed closely by Gao Ziang of One For All in third at 2’29:102s. In Practice 2, Irfan Haykhal maintained his position at the top after improving his lap time to 2’25:824s. This put him ahead of Irfan Ardiansyah of MAEZTRO NWN TUS SCK HONDA RACING, who set a time of 2’26:739s, 0:915s behind Irfan Haykhal, in second place. QAYYIM FASTEST IN OPENING ROUND

The MSBK250 B category saw Qayyim Razin Razali of Horizon Racing Team emerge as the fastest overall in the combined practice sessions at the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP, held today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. In Practice 1, Qayyim led the field with a fastest lap of 2’33:075s. He was followed by Kabilesh Rajini Krishnan of Team RACR CASTROL POWER1, who clocked 2’33:589s, and Huang Pin-Hung from Chinese Taipei, who took third place with a time of 2’34:466s. In Practice 2, Qayyim improved his lap time to 2’33:313s, reaching a speed of 130.16 km/h on lap 4 to lead the session. China rider Ke Huanni of TRIPLE A GARAGE followed closely in second place with a time of 2’35:204s, achieving a speed of 128.57 km/h on lap 3. Saidatul Zakirah Zairin of Lady Boss Racing Team finished in third place with a time of 2’35:313s. The combined results from both sessions saw Qayyim finish as the fastest overall, followed by Kabilesh in second and Huang Pin-Hung in third. Qayyim commented, “I am happy with my results today.
