ADAM STORMED TO THE TOP

The Berjaya Sompo YAMAHA R15M Race Elites category at Round 3 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, where Muhd Adam Shahzrel Mohd Azhrel of HONG BEE MOTORACING emerged as the fastest overall in the combined practice sessions.

In Practice 1, Asyraff Zaquan bin Zainal Raif of BLH 46 RACING led the session with the fastest lap time of 3’14.972s. Muhd Afiq Mohd Hamdan of HENN BIKERS RACING followed closely in second position with a time of 3’15.628s, while Adam secured third place at 3’15.830s.

In Practice 2, Adam improved significantly, clocking a fastest lap time of 2’53.454s to take the lead. Raiyan Khardanee Mohd Sanusi of SOON CHYE MOTOR placed second with a time of 2’53.672s, just 0.218s behind Adam, while Ahmad Iqram Danish Ahmad Ghazali of SOON CHONG RACING TEAM rounded out the top three at 2’54.753s.

With the combined results from both practice sessions, Adam topped the timesheets as the fastest overall, followed by Raiyan in second and Ahmad Iqram in third.

Adam said, “This is my first time riding this bike, and it’s different from the others I’ve used before because this is a sport bike. In Free Practice 1 it rained, I tried to put in lap times but could only manage P3. In Free Practice 2, I tried again and Alhamdulillah I got P1. Tomorrow, I will try to do even better.”
