NEWCOMER’S TRIUMPH, KIEN HUEY TOOK THE SPOTLIGHT

Opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Law Kien Huey of KHSRT took the win in Race 1 of the MSBK1000 B category.

Kien Huey led the pack at the start. Teuku Irfan Affandy of TRIPLE A GARAGE was in P2, followed closely by He JunPeng of Silver Steed Racing Team. Theva Kumaran of Mobilub Suzuki Racing Team maintained his composure in P4, waiting for the right time to push.

Kien Huey held onto P1 consistently, while Theva overtook Teuku to move into P2. Alvinderjitsingh of Horizon Racing Team trailed in P4.

Kien Huey won the 10-lap race with a time of 23’19:023s.

Teuku completed a 9-lap run to take second at 21’25:928s, while Theva secured third at 21’27:358s.

Kien Huey stated, “This is my first time racing in MSBK, and I really enjoyed it. My teammates helped me find the best setup, and it’s been an eye-opener to race alongside so many experienced and skilled riders. I’ll give my best again tomorrow and hope to win.”
