Race 3 of Round 2, Malaysia Superbike Championship was held at Sepang International Circuit. Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin of Yamaha Gen Blu Racing Team ASEAN created a hat-trick with his triple win in one weekend in the MSBK1000 A race category. During Race 2, Zaqhwan was fiery when he took the lead with Azlan trailing. Kasma who was at P3 was not satisfied with his position and went on to pressure the duo. Before mid-race, Kasma found his way into P2, striking Azlan down to P3 before he went on to attack Zaqhwan. As soon as he got into the lead position, Kasma fled away towards victory. In Race 2, once again Zaqhwan took the lead with Azlan at P2 and Kasma at P3. Before the first lap ended, Kasma overtook Azlan. Two laps down and Zaqhwan was still leading with Kasma intensely pressuring him. For a moment, Kasma succeeded but Zaqhwan quickly pulled himself back up. By mid-lap, Zaqhwan led with a 0.127s gap before Kasma took a slide from the inside ahead of Zaqhwan. From then on, Kasma picked up speed and Zaqhwan went on to compete but to no avail. Meanwhile, Azlan at P3 was approximately 8s away from Zaqhwan. Kasma went on to bag yet another victory at 21’23:766s. Commenting on the race, Kasma said, “I am truly happy to have taken the triple-win. I had the opportunity to strike Zaqhwan because he made a mistake. Otherwise, I would not have been able to create a hat-trick. Race 3 of Round 2, Malaysia Superbike Championship was held at Sepang International Circuit. Chen Hsuan Ming of Dream Team made it as the Weekend Champion in the MSBK1000 B race category. During Race 2 earlier, Amir was steady with his pace as he took control of the circuit ground. But he faced threats from his nearest contenders, Chen and Radzi. The trio exchanged positions between laps before Radzi emerged to take the lead, consequently completing the race ahead of the others. In Race 3, once again, Amir displayed his dominance on the circuit. Radzi went on to challenge him from the back while Chee Yen tried to close the gap and move ahead. By the third lap however, Radzi overtook Chee Yen. Amir maintained his position well. By mid-lap, the three top riders maintained their positions. With four more laps to go, Chen took over Chee Yen’s position. Radzi was 3s away from Amir. With 3 more laps to go, Chen was inching closer to Radzi and overtook from the inside. He then took speed and went on to draw a comfortable gap. But Radzi did not give up. He went on to chase Chen and exchanged positions. While Amir was on his way to completing the race first at 22’37:728s, Radzi and Chen entangled in a heated battle before Chen completed second fastest while Radzi clocked in third fastest. Race 3 of Round 2, Malaysia Superbike Championship was held at Sepang International Circuit. Khairul Idham Pawi was victorious once again in Race 3 of the MSBK600 race category. During Race 2, Khairul put on a good fight with Ibrahim throughout the race. While Helmi trailed behind, he tried to strike towards the end of the race but failed. Khairul was quick to take advantage of Helmi’s mistake to move ahead at the last turn before speeding towards victory. Ibrahim made it second. In Race 3, Soichiro took a bold leap ahead of Khairul at the first turn with Helmi at P3. Moments after that, Khairul overtook Soichiro. Ibrahim was seen managing his pace at P4. At the last turn of lap 2, Helmi fired his moves to overtake Soichiro. At P4, Ibrahim was keeping a look out for opportunities to move ahead of his teammate. Into lap 4, Helmi’s strategy to overtake Khairul worked while Ibrahim quickly made it past Soichiro. By mid-race, Ibrahim drew closer to Khairul as the latter went on a search for the right moment to strike. At the last turn of lap 5, Khairul did it but Helmi would not give up as he went on to pressure Khairul. The Boon Siew duo was a display of great sportsmanship throughout the weekend as they went on to keep the Yamaha riders at bay. At the final lap, Helmi overtook Khairul but mid-lap, Khairul was quick to recover his spot. At the last turn, Helmi tried his luck one last time but Khairul moved swiftly from the inside before fleeing to victory at 21’55:141s. Commenting on the race, Khairul said, “It was quite a tough race today due to the weather. I had some issues in managing the tires. The competition was stiff, especially with Helmi. Round 2 of Malaysian Superbike Championship which was held at Sepang International Circuit went on to a great start with Race 2. Kasma Daniel Kasmayuddin of Yamaha Gen Blu Racing Team ASEAN bagged another victory in the MSBK1000 A race category. Yesterday, Kasma was unbeatable as he went on to draw a wide gap in between his contenders, Zaqhwan and Azlan. The duo trailing on the other hand engaged in a heated battle towards the end of the race before Azlan beat Zaqhwan to the punch. In today’s race, Zaqhwan was quick to move ahead into P1 followed by Azlan at P2 and Kasma at P3. Although Kasma tried to slide ahead from the inside at the last turn, the duo ahead did not budge away from their positions. Into lap 3, Kasma who was diligently pressuring Azlan made a slide from the inside and ahead of Azlan and was a matter of time when he made his move on Zaqhwan. Into lap 4, Kasma succeeded into P1 from the inside once again. By mid-race, Kasma was leading with a 1.756s gap from Zaqhwan. It was all about maintaining his pace for the trio. With two more laps to go, Kasma was on his way to victory with a gap of 3.326s. Zaqhwan maintained his pace and avoided pressure from Azlan. The race concluded with Kasma taking victory at 21’26:958s. Commenting on the race, Kasma said, “The challenge today was the weather. It was quite hot and the race was also early today. It was quite pressuring to ride as I also had to concentrate on the tires and manage it well. Today, I had some competition with Zaqhwan and Azlan so it was a little interesting. Overall, I try not to pressure myself too much. I just take this as preparation for the ARRC. So, it is more of a fun ride for me. Round 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) saw great action on the circuit in Race 2 at the Sepang International Circuit. Md Amir Izzat Rozali of Horizon Racing Team clocked in fastest in the MSBK1000 B race category. In Race 1, Amir went on a great start at the lead position. However, by mid-race, Chen closed the gaps and took over Amir’s position. Meanwhile, Chee Yen who played it cool in the beginning began flexing his muscles as he went on to strike. The race got heated when Kuo began attacking and by the end of the race, Chee Yen succumbed. In the morning, during Race 2, Chee Yen found his pace at P1 in the very beginning of the race followed by Amir and Radzi. By the end of lap 2, Amir overtook Chee Yen while Radzi went on to challenge him. Chen was making his way into the top troop. Before the lap ended, Radzi and Teo moved ahead of Chee Yen. With six more laps to go, Chen was finally among the top three riders. By mid-race, Radzi worked on his moves to overtake Amir and succeeded. Chen, who was trailing, looked for ways to close the gaps with Radzi and made a swing from the outside ahead of Amir. With three more laps to go, Chen aimed for Radzi. The duo remained competitive as Radzi went on to guard his position but into the 8th lap, Chen moved from the inside and overtook Radzi. As the battle heated up, Radzi and Amir took on a bold stance and superseded Chen. But Chen was adamant. As Radzi went on to claim fastest in the race for the morning at 22’39:774s, Chen clocked in second fastest. Commenting on the race, Radzi said, “For the coming race, I will try to work on my moves like I did this morning. Today’s setup of the machine is definitely better than yesterday. I tried to stay among the front troop. I watch the other riders’ moves as well and I try to act upon it. For later, depending on the weather, we might make some last-minute changes to ensure the machine is optimised. Round 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) saw riders of the MSBK600 race category putting on a good fight in Race 2. Khairul Idham Pawi of Boon Siew Honda Racing Team struck while the iron was hot before claiming victory in the MSBK600 race category. Helmi was impressive yesterday in Race 1 when he took the lead and charged towards victory in the 10-lap race. While Khairul attempted his moves on Helmi, the latter’s position was not compromised. Ibrahim who came into the scene of MSBK this round, clearly was still trying to find his pace. The Boon Siew duo seemed to have found their rhythm in the race category. In Race 2 earlier this morning, Helmi once again went on a good start, immediately taking lead at the first turn followed by Sharul Ezwan in P2 and Khairul at P3. Seconds into the race, Khairul made a quick exchange with Sharul and took P2 before going on to chase his teammate. Meanwhile, Ibrahim at P4 tried to overtake Sharul. By the end of lap 2, Khairul finally overtook Helmi. Soichiro moved into P3 with Ibrahim trailing closely. At the last turn, Ibrahim overtook Soichiro before aiming to strike Helmi. Into lap 4, Ibrahim did it and Soichiro’s attempt to attack Helmi worked. By mid-race, Ibrahim who was inching closer to Khairul made a quick pass and took the lead. Helmi on the other hand was not about to give up and found his way to close the gap with Soichiro. Among the four, Helmi battled with Soichiro while Khairul went on to pressure Ibrahim. 3 laps to go, Khiarul overtook Ibrahim from the inside at the first turn but before the lap ended, Ibrahim managed to swing himself back into P1. Helmi, on the other hand, broke free from Soichiro. At the final lap, Khairul sped ahead from the inside and once again took the lead. The pole-man was back in charge. His teammate, Helmi found his way into P2 and for a moment into P1 but overshot and Khairul was swift in his moves to seize the moment before speeding towards victory at 21’52:038s. Commenting on the race, Khairul said, “This race was quite positive as the setup of the machine was good. I had some problems with the suspension yesterday so today, we did not have those issues. The race was definitely very competitive. Mid-race, my tires were losing grip. Race 2, Round 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) went well today with no hiccups at the Sepang International Circuit. Md Irfan Haykal of Boon Siew Honda Racing Team was unbeatable as he went on to claim victory once again in the MSBK250 B race category. In Race 1, Irfan was quick to take the lead position however, mid-race, Muzakkir who made an entry this season began injecting pressure. As the intensity mounted, Irfan and Muzakkir wrestled for the lead position. Nevertheless, Irfan was steady in his game as he went on to conquer the circuit. Muzakkir gave in while Farid Hakimi who maintained his position at P3 finished third. Race 2 was brought down to 6-laps due to a crash that took place as soon as the race flagged off. When the race began once again, Farid Hakimi went on to take P1 with Irfan at P2 and Muzakkir at P3. However, before the race ended, Irfan overtook Farid for a moment before Farid took over once again at turn 1. The duo of the same team seemed to have a strategy in mind as they exchanged positions to keep their rivals at bay. Meanwhile, Geoffrey battled with Muzakkir for P3. By mid-lap, Irfan took the lead and picked up speed. Farid Hakimi went on to watch his back. Muzakkir broke away from Geoffrey and went on to maintain that position all the way. Two more laps to go, Irfan was 1.642s away from Farid. Muzakkir was catching up with a 0.376s gap and at the final lap, Muzakkir took a slide from the inside into P2. As Irfan went towards victory at 14’54:334s, Muzakkir worked his way to complete the race second. Commenting on the race, Irfan said, “It was a superb race today. I definitely had a great time, even more so with the hat-trick that I have made for myself. I would say there was great competition with my teammate as well as riders like Muzakkir. But, I am really happy to have been able to maintain my position so far. Race 2, Round 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) was held at Sepang International Circuit. Md Izrul Huzaimi of Horizon Racing Team emerged as the Weekend Champion for the MSBK250 B race category. It was unfortunate for Rakshith and Huan Ni who were out of the equation in the beginning of the race when they crashed in yesterday’s race. It was nevertheless an added advantage for Izrul Huzaimi who went on to take the lead. Meanwhile, Saidatul and Farderin cleared their rivalry when the former bagged the second fastest in Race 1. During Race 2, Rakshith emerged fastest today at 15’36:053s. Although he put on a great show today, he failed to take the overall win of the Weekend Champion trophy due the crash yesterday. Izrul on the other hand has put on a great performance this weekend. With the points accumulated as the fastest in Race 1 and second fastest in Race 2, Izrul claimed the Weekend Champion title for Round 2. Striking in the race today was Norsyafiyah of CHV Racing and Saidatul Zakirah of Lady Boss Racing Team who fought competitively among the male contenders. The ladies made it third and fourth fastest respectively. Commenting on the race this week, Izrul said, “The race was very competitive but I managed to stay at the second position from start to completion of the race. Yesterday, the weather was rainy and the track was wet so it was tough to keep up with the pace. Today, the weather was good so I was able to ride better. The machine condition was also good. Race 2, Round 2 of the Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) went on at Sepang International Circuit today. Shahrol Syazras of Malaysia took home the winning trophy for the Honda CBR250RR Challenge Cup. Shahrol Syazras was striking in his moves in Race 1. Although the Vietnamese rider challenged him throughout, Syazras was clear with his goals. Syazras went on to complete the race with a 0.309s gap ahead of Duch Thanh. Meanwhile, Huu Tri managed his pace well and concluded third fastest for the day. In Race 2 that happened this afternoon, once again, Syazras was seen leading the pack in the race category before Darwisy started working his moves on the leader. The duo became entangled in a heated battle but Syazras was quick to recover his position. Duch Thanh managed his pace behind them. With two more laps to go, Syazras and Darwisy continued their heated battle but Syazras showcased greater ability as he went on to complete the race first at 15’16:809s. While Syazras is not new to the motorsport scene, he is fairly new in the Honda CBR250RR Challenge Cup. Despite that, the Malaysian rider has shown great consistency throughout the weekend in managing his lap time. From Friday till today, Syazras has topped the chart as fastest in free practice, combined, Race 1 and finally in Race 2. Commenting on the race, Syazras said, “The race went very well although the weather was very hot today. I had a good fight with my teammate today. I followed him while he was at lead, picked up on his mistakes and took advantage of it. Yesterday, the race was a little tough due to the wet circuit so there were areas which were difficult to manage. Today was a much better race. I was much calmer today and my target was to complete the race with fewer mistakes. Hopefully, in the final round, I will be able to do better. The machine’s condition was good today. The setup was perfect for the race and I faced no major issues. I am truly thankful and grateful for my parents who have worked really hard to ensure this success.” Taking the second spot on the podium was Nguyen Duch Thanh of Vietnam. Race 2, Round 2 of Malaysia Superbike Championship was held at the Sepang International Circuit today. Abdullah Qayyum Abdul Razak of Twoway claimed victory today in the Berjaya Sompo Y16ZR Race MasterClass. It was a never-ending battle between the riders in the race category. But standing out among them was Shafiq Ezzariq who showcased skills as he went on to maintain his position among the front troop. Qayyum and Adie were equally competitive but Shafiq’s strategy for the day presented him with the win. In today’s race, as usual, the riders were in full form as they went on to get the best spot. Shafiq Ezzariq however made it to P1 at the first turn and drew a gap with the troop behind him before the lap ended. Adam made it into P2 while Qayyum took P3. Into lap 2, Arash emerged ahead but Shafiq was seen aggressively pushing ahead. Adie tried to maintain his position among the front troop before taking the lead at the end of lap 2 with Syukran and Arash close behind. By the end of lap 3, Shafiq once again took control of the troop. With another two laps to go, the battle became intense. Adie was determined to make it big. He once again emerged ahead of the troop but the huge wave of riders was intense as they went on to attack him. But Adie played smart by maintaining his position among the front troop. At the final turn, Arash broke away from the troop but Qayyum would not give up and went for victory, clocking in at 17’30:363s. Commenting on the race, Qayyum said, “It was a highly-competitive race since it was a big troop. I tried to work on my strategies throughout the race, to stay among the front troop. It was not easy as everyone was equally good. The weather condition was also not too bad today. I am grateful for the win today.” Taking the second spot on the podium was Md Arash Tsunami of Berjaya Mega who clocked in at 17’30:390s.
