AZROY ON FIRE IN SEPANG

Round 3 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit saw Azroy Hakeem Anuar of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA set the benchmark in the MSBK1000 A category, topping the combined practice times.
In Free Practice 1 under dry conditions, Azroy posted the fastest lap of the day with 2’08.708s. Close behind, Adam Norrodin of AMI SUZUKI MOTORSPORT recorded 2’08.768s, just 0.060s adrift. Lachlan Epis of SAVITAR TEAM ASIA impressed in third with 2’09.048s, while Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of HONG LEONG YAMAHA MALAYSIA and Muhammad Zaqhwan Zaidi of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA completed the top five.
The weather then shifted for Free Practice 2, as rain left the track wet and challenging. Adam adapted best to the conditions, topping the session with 2’22.020s. Andi Farid Izdihar of ASTRA HONDA RACING was close behind in second, followed by Azroy, Zaqhwan, and Kasma. Despite the slower lap times, riders took the opportunity to gather valuable data for potential wet races.
With his FP1 pace proving decisive, Azroy maintained the overall lead in the combined results ahead of Adam and Epis, while Kasma and Zaqhwan rounded off the top five.
Azroy shared, “I’m feeling quite okay today because it’s been a while since I last rode a 1000cc bike at the Sepang Circuit. Now I’m getting used to the feeling on the bike again, so Alhamdulillah. For us, the lap time is still far from what we are targeting, but we still have time tomorrow and the day after, so we’ll do better then.”
