KAMARUL LED THE PACK

Round 3 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit saw Kamarul Izad Ishak of KOYAK DESIGN LUQMANAN BY ZYNERGY RACING emerge as the fastest rider in the MSBK1000 B category after combined practice.

In Free Practice 1, Kamarul Izad showcased his speed early on, setting the benchmark with 2’16.905s. Behind him, Muhd Amirul Affiq Ahmad Solikhin of NO MONEY RACING BY BRAAP – ESTREMO clocked 2’17.492s, while Alvinderjit Singh of HORIZON RACING TEAM secured third with 2’19.513s. Completing the top five were Malaysia’s Muhd Raudhatul Razman and Teuku Irfan Affandy.

Free Practice 2 presented slower times as conditions shifted, with He Junpeng of SILVER STEED RACING TEAM topping the session in 2’32.468s ahead of Theva Kumaran from MOBILUB SUZUKI RACING TEAM and Alvinderjit Singh. Many riders opted for careful runs, using the session to adapt to changing track grip.

The combined times ultimately highlighted Kamarul Izad’s FP1 pace, putting him at the top ahead of Amirul Affiq and Alvinderjit. Raudhatul and Teuku completed the list of the five fastest riders of the day.

Kamarul shared, “I feel happy being the fastest today because I crashed here before, which caused some trauma. But Alhamdulillah, after just two laps I managed to get back into rhythm. For Race 1, since it’s now the rainy season, we’ve gained new knowledge for wet conditions as well. If you ask any rider, of course we all want to improve further, so we’ll first work on getting the timing needed to move up to Category A. If we achieve that, we’ll definitely join next season.”

SIC AND TWMR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO AEON CREDIT (M) BERHAD FOR THE SUPPORT RENDERED THIS WEEKEND DURING AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP.
