TEUKU, THE WEEKEND CHAMPION

Race 2 of the opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP was held at the Sepang International Circuit. Teuku Irfan Affandy of TRIPLE A GARAGE emerged as the Weekend Champion, claiming victory in Race 2 of the MSBK1000 B race category.

Teuku quickly took the lead at the start of Race 2, with He JunPeng of Silver Steed Racing Team in second and Theva Kumaran of Mobilub Suzuki Racing Team in third.

On lap 4, JunPeng briefly took the lead but crashed, allowing Law Kien Huey of KHSRT to take over the top spot.

Positions remained the same until the final lap, when, with Kien Huey seemingly poised to clinch a second victory, Teuku made a perfectly timed move to overtake and cross the finish line first with a time of 21’20:500s.

Theva Kumaran of Mobilub Suzuki Racing Team took second place with a time of 21’29:234s, and Alvinderjitsingh of Horizon Racing Team finished in third with a time of 21’36:174s.

Based on the combined results, Teuku was crowned the Weekend Champion.

Teuku said, “I made a few adjustments to my bike setup and discussed with my team to ensure consistency. Alhamdulillah, once I saw the opportunity for P1, I maintained my pace and stayed focused. This win made me so happy that my exhaustion faded, and my energy was restored.”
