SYAMIL COMMANDED SEPANG

Round 4 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP got underway today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, with Md Syamil Amsyar M Iffende of HONG LEONG YAMAHA MALAYSIA emerging as the fastest rider overall in the MSBK250 A category in the combined practice sessions.

In Free Practice 1, Syamil immediately made his mark by posting a fastest lap of 2’26.553s, reaching a top speed of 136.16km/h. He was closely followed by Ahmad Afif Amran of SUPERFAST JRT X RAPIDO in second with 2’26.594s, while MD Akid Aziz of SUPERFAST JRT X RAPIDO secured third at 2’26.915s. Irfan Ardiansyah of MAEZTRO NWN SCK HONDA RACING and Reynaidi Pradana of REY RACING SPEED completed the top five.

Free Practice 2 saw Syamil further improve his pace, clocking 2’26.085s to maintain the session’s top position. Afif remained consistent in second with 2’26.640s, while Akid continued in third at 2’26.978s. Irfan closely followed in fourth with 2’27.029s, and Ngo Nguyen Viet Tuan of HONDA RACING VIE TEAM rounded out the top five.

With the combined results from both practice sessions, Syamil topped the overall timesheets ahead of Afif and Akid, while Irfan and Viet Tuan completed the top five fastest riders of the day.

Syamil shared, “Alhamdulillah, I’m riding the R3 in the MSBK250 category for the very first time. Today, I’m still fine-tuning the bike setup to get fully comfortable with it. I’m determined to perform better in tomorrow’s Qualifying and Race 1.”
