RAKSHITH, WEEKEND WARRIOR

RAKSHITH, WEEKEND WARRIOR

Race 2, Round 1 of Malaysia Superbike Championship was held at the Sepang International Circuit today. Rakshith Dave of CRA Motorsports India bagged the weekend warrior trophy today in the MSBK250 B race category.

Rakshith was steady in his position and managed his pace throughout the race. Behind him was Izrul and Huan Ni who tried to close the gaps but the Indian rider was in full control of his game as he led towards charting fastest in the race.

Today was once again a good day for Rakshith who took the lead with Izrul and Huan Ni next in line. As the momentum picked up, Izrul picked up speed and overtook Rakshith before Huan Ni followed suit. Unfortunately, Izrul had a fall and Rakshith was back at the lead position. Huan Ni managed his pace behind him with Ezrix trying to close the gap. At the second last lap, Kuan Ni moved ahead of Rakshith for a moment before Rakshith took back his position. The Indian rider went on to complete the race first at 20’52:611s.

Commenting on the race, Rakshith said, “It was a really good race although the start was that great. But I managed to put on a good fight to stay in the momentum. I thank my team and crew who have worked really hard for this weekend and I hope to achieve many more results like this and even better in time to come.”

At second spot was He Kuan Ni of Lady Boss Racing Team at 20’53:833s.

Md Nur Haikal of HJ Racing Team clocked in third at 21’03:022s.

With the combined results, Rakshith celebrated the number one place followed by He Kuan Ni and Md Zakwan Anas Azizul at third place.
