QAYYIM STORMED TO VICTORY

Race 1 of Round 3 in the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP delivered excitement in the MSBK250 B category at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, with Qayyim Razin Razali of HORIZON RACING TEAM producing a commanding performance to clinch a runaway win.

Qayyim, who started from pole with 2’33.520s, immediately surged to the front at lights out. Behind him, Khairul Firdaus Kadzim held second position, chased closely by Zakwan Anas Azizulkhairi of TRIPLE A GARAGE.

The Horizon Racing rider quickly built a massive lead, pulling more than 22 seconds clear of the field. As the race unfolded, Firdaus initially maintained second, with Carlsen Jacob Solis of SSC – HONDA PHILIPPINES – GS BATTERY RACING in third, ahead of Zakwan and Daniel Benjamin Farhan Jalaluddin of NOMONEY RACING BY BRAAAP – ESTREMO.

On lap 6, Carlsen launched a bold attack to overtake Firdaus for P2. However, the drama intensified on the final lap as both Zakwan and Firdaus struck back, passing Carlsen to reclaim second and third respectively.

At the chequered flag, Qayyim crossed the line unchallenged in 22’17.564s to secure a dominant victory. Zakwan finished second in 23’06.247s, with Firdaus completing the podium at 23’08.109s.

Qayyim said, “Alhamdulillah, I managed to secure a good position and a victory. In today’s race, I tried to follow the front group and maintain my position. I also focused on keeping a consistent pace until the end, and Alhamdulillah, I achieved a good result today.”
