PO YU UNSTOPPABLE

Round 2 of the MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship took place today at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Lee Po Yu of DREAM TEAM took the win today in Race 1 in the MSBK1000 B race category.
Earlier today in qualifying session, Abhijith Satya Prasad from India clocked in fastest with his best lap time at 2’15:164s. At the second fastest spot was Lee Po Yu of DREAM TEAM with his best lap time at 2’16:614s followed by Heng Si Kiat from Singapore at 2’16:627s.
Fahmi took the lead as the race started. In P2 was Abhijith followed closely by Si Kiat. Po Yu patiently finding his pace while trailing Sasan Akbari Khabazi of OSAMA RACING TEAM at P4.
Fahmi was consistent at P1 but overtook by Po Yu on lap 7. Behind them were Raja Nazeem Iskandar from Malaysia and Si Kiat at P3 and P4 respectively.
Po Yu took the top spot to win the race at 23’19:434s.
Po Yu stated, “Today’s race was extremely challenging. I had a poor start but gradually worked my way up, lap by lap, to reach the top positions. However, my job isn’t finished yet. I will stay focused and prepared for Race 2 tomorrow, with the hope of securing another win.”
Taking the second spot was Fahmi at 23’21:559s.
Si Kiat made it third at 23’22:305s.
