KASMA UNBEATABLE IN WET RACE

The Race 1 of Round 3 in the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP’s MSBK1000 A category at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit saw a masterclass performance from Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of HONG LEONG YAMAHA MALAYSIA, who stormed to a commanding victory in wet conditions. At lights out, Kasma surged to the front and never looked back, immediately pulling clear of his rivals. Behind him, Lachlan Epis of SAVITAR TEAM ASIA and Adam Norrodin of AMI SUZUKI MOTORSPORT initially slotted into contention, before Andi Farid Izdihar of ASTRA HONDA RACING muscled his way into second on Lap 2. By Lap 3, Kasma had already created a 4.899s gap, leaving Andi, Azroy Hakeem Anuar of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA, Adam, and Lachlan locked in a tight four-rider battle for second. As the race progressed, Kasma looked untouchable, stretching his lead to 6.655s over Andi, while Azroy ran a solitary race in third, more than 12 seconds adrift. Kasma crossed the finish line unchallenged in 24’09.017s, securing a dominant victory. Andi completed a strong ride to finish second in 24’11.565s, while Azroy clinched the final podium spot at 24’28.212s. Kasma commented, “I had confidence, but I wasn’t overly confident, because in a race under rainy conditions, victory can come down to luck. If luck is on your side, you can finish the race, if not, you won’t. Just now I tried to stay focused on my riding. I think I was maybe too focused because I wanted to preserve my tyres as the track was drying up. As a result, the tyres were wearing out more, so I needed to control my riding.” SIC AND TWMR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO AEON CREDIT (M) BERHAD FOR THE SUPPORT RENDERED THIS WEEKEND DURING AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP. Muhd Raudhatul Razman produced a sensational late charge to claim victory in Race 1 of the MSBK1000 B category at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, at Round 3 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP. From pole, Kamarul Izad Ishak of KOYAK DESIGN LUQMANAN BY ZYNERGY RACING rocketed to the lead, chased by He Junpeng of SILVER STEED RACING TEAM and Muhd Amirul Affiq Ahmad Solikhin of NO MONEY RACING BY BRAAP – ESTREMO. By Lap 4, Kamarul had already carved out a 5-second lead, while Raudhatul began to close in on Junpeng in the fight for second. On Lap 6, Raudhatul made his move, snatching P2 and closing to just 0.342s behind the leader. Teuku and Junpeng also joined the battle, compressing the front group. The turning point came on Lap 7, when Teuku boldly overtook both Raudhatul and Kamarul to seize control. But Raudhatul wasn’t done, finding an extra burst of pace on the final lap, he launched his decisive attack and powered to a dramatic win in 26’30.206s. Teuku finished just 0.197s behind in second, while Kamarul had to settle for third at 26’36.315s after his early dominance slipped away. Raudhatul expressed, “Today’s race was quite challenging because the track was fully wet. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow, but of course, our target will be P1. I think the main challengers for tomorrow will be Kamarul Izad and Teuku Irfan. IZAM WON WET AND WILD BATTLE

Round 3 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP delivered a heart-stopping Race 1 in the MSBK600 category at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, with Muhd Izam Ikmal Izamli of HONG LEONG YAMAHA MALAYSIA emerging victorious after an intense battle with Muhd Helmi Azman of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA. At the start, Izam surged ahead to take the holeshot, while his teammate Farres Putra Mohd Fadhil slipped past Helmi to occupy second place. Helmi regrouped quickly and began his charge, setting the pace with a blistering 2’29.120s lap and reaching 242.2km/h on Lap 3 as he chased down Izam. But Izam fought back with a faster 2’28.571s lap and a top speed of 243.8km/h, keeping the Honda rider at bay. By Lap 6, a mistake from Izam allowed Helmi to close the gap to just 0.365s, while Helmi’s teammate Khairul Idham Pawi overtook Farres for third. The closing laps turned into a spectacular showdown as Helmi finally passed Izam on Lap 8, only for Izam to immediately retaliate. On Lap 9, Helmi took another risk but lost control and crashed, rejoining the race in third. Izam capitalised on the incident to stretch his lead and crossed the line first with a commanding time of 25’02.084s. The drama didn’t end there, as Helmi launched a breathtaking last-corner move, snatching second place by just 0.001s ahead of Khairul, who settled for third. Izam said, “In today’s race, I had a very good start. At first, I wasn’t too confident because I knew Helmi had strong pace here. Step by step, I observed whether Helmi could stay with me or not. Around six laps in, I started to struggle with my rear tyre, so I just kept my pace. I saw the board showing a 1.500s gap, and my pace was a bit slower compared to Helmi. In the last three laps, I knew I was on the podium, but I still wanted this victory because it’s been three years since I last rode a 600cc. I noticed Helmi was quite aggressive. He knew I wasn’t fast in the high-speed corners, but I managed to overtake in the slow corner. I didn’t expect Helmi to crash. Hopefully tomorrow we’ll see how things go, and we can battle again with Helmi and Khairul.” SIC AND TWMR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO AEON CREDIT (M) BERHAD FOR THE SUPPORT RENDERED THIS WEEKEND DURING AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP. IRFAN CONQUERED WET TRACK

Race 1 of Round 3 in the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP brought high drama in the MSBK250 A category at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit, with rain-soaked conditions testing both skill and courage. In the end, it was Irfan Ardiansyah of MAEZTRO NWN SCK HONDA RACING who mastered the wet track to secure a brilliant victory. At the start, Ahmad Afif Amran and Md Akid Aziz of SUPERFAST JRT X RAPIDO charged forward, only for Irfan to steal the lead at the first corner. Md Akif Abdullah of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA also quickly joined the front group, setting the stage for an intense battle. By lap 2, Irfan looked the most comfortable in the slippery conditions, leading confidently with Akif in second and Nguyen Ton Anh Phu of HONDA RACING VIETNAM TEAM in third. Afif, meanwhile, slipped down the order after being overtaken by Sai Rahil Pillarisetty of TEAM RACR CASTROL POWER1 and Reynadi Pradana of REY RACING SPEED. The race took a dramatic turn on lap 4 when both Akif and Sai crashed, losing their chance to fight for the podium. This opened the door for Ton Anh Phu and Reynadi to climb into second and third positions behind Irfan. From there, the front trio broke away. Irfan and Ton Anh Phu pushed hard, clocking speeds of 177km/h even on the wet surface, and stretched an 8-second gap over the chasing pack. Behind them, Akid clawed back to fourth and later overtook Reynadi for third, sparking a fierce late-race fight. On the final lap, Reynadi launched one last attack, regaining third from Akid. Up front, Irfan pulled clear to a safe margin, crossing the finish line in 21’37.651s, 3.800s ahead of Ton Anh Phu, who secured second place. Reynadi held on to claim third. Irfan shared, “From the start I wanted to push as much as possible, but I almost had a high side at Turn 4 and slid, so I decided to just keep my own pace and try to stay consistent. In the end, I managed to finish P1. I’m very happy and grateful. ZAKIRAH BREAKING BARRIERS

Among the competitive MSBK250 B grid of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP, one rider has been quietly yet powerfully making history. Saidatul Zakirah Zairin of LADY BOSS RACING TEAM is currently the only female rider in the top five overall standings after two rounds, proving that determination, skill, and consistency can break barriers in a sport often dominated by men. For Zakirah, the achievement feels rewarding, but she doesn’t see herself defined solely by gender. “It feels really rewarding to be in the top five overall, especially knowing how competitive the field is. At the same time, I don’t look at it purely as being the only female rider as I see myself first and foremost as a racer. My goal is always to perform at the highest level regardless of gender. That said, I do hope my presence in the top standings can inspire more women and young riders to believe they can succeed in this sport too,” she said. Competing against male riders brings unique challenges, but Zakirah has learned to rise above them with focus and resilience. “Sometimes people may underestimate me before I even get on the bike, so I’ve had to prove myself through performance rather than words. On track, the intensity is high and the margins for error are so small. I overcome this by training harder, staying disciplined, and keeping my mindset strong. Once the helmet is on, gender doesn’t matter. It’s about skill, strategy, and determination,” she explained. Her place in the top five has not come by chance. Experience abroad, particularly racing in Europe, has given Zakirah valuable growth that she has translated into her MSBK season. “Racing in Europe with the girls there has really helped me improve my skills, and I’ve brought that experience into this season. Consistency has been key, with finishing strong, collecting points even in tough conditions, and preparing well off the track. Physical training, studying data, and trusting my team have all played a big role in securing my position so far,” she shared. Zakirah treats every competitor equally but admits that her role as one of the few female riders motivates her to push harder. “I treat every rider the same regardless of gender, because once we’re on the grid it’s about performance. But yes, being one of the few female riders pushes me to raise my standards, not just to prove myself, but to show that women can compete at the same level in this sport. I hope that inspires more women to step into racing,” she said. Her training routine reflects the intensity required to compete at this level. “Physically, I focus a lot on strength and conditioning, cardio for endurance, and core strength for control. Mentally, I prepare by reviewing race data, visualizing scenarios, and keeping a strong, positive mindset. Racing can be unpredictable, so mental focus is just as important as the physical side,” she explained. With Round 3 of MSBK 2025 taking place this weekend, Zakirah remains focused on the bigger picture. “My main target is to stay consistent and keep collecting strong points, because that’s what makes the biggest difference over the season. Of course, I’d love to move higher up in the standings, and I feel confident with the preparation I’ve done and the experience I’ve gained. The competition will be tough, but I’m ready to give it my best,” she affirmed. Above all, Zakirah hopes her journey continues to pave the way for others. “I want young women to know that racing is not limited by gender. If you have the passion and determination, you can achieve your goals. It’s not always an easy journey, but with hard work and belief in yourself, it’s possible to compete at the same level as anyone else. I hope my journey shows that there’s a place for women in so-called ‘male-dominated’ sports too,” she said.

AZROY ON FIRE IN SEPANG

Round 3 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit saw Azroy Hakeem Anuar of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA set the benchmark in the MSBK1000 A category, topping the combined practice times. Andi Farid Izdihar of ASTRA HONDA RACING was close behind in second, followed by Azroy, Zaqhwan, and Kasma. Despite the slower lap times, riders took the opportunity to gather valuable data for potential wet races. With his FP1 pace proving decisive, Azroy maintained the overall lead in the combined results ahead of Adam and Epis, while Kasma and Zaqhwan rounded off the top five. Azroy shared, “I’m feeling quite okay today because it’s been a while since I last rode a 1000cc bike at the Sepang Circuit. Now I’m getting used to the feeling on the bike again, so Alhamdulillah. For us, the lap time is still far from what we are targeting, but we still have time tomorrow and the day after, so we’ll do better then.” SIC AND TWMR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO AEON CREDIT (M) BERHAD FOR THE SUPPORT RENDERED THIS WEEKEND DURING AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP. Many riders opted for careful runs, using the session to adapt to changing track grip. The combined times ultimately highlighted Kamarul Izad’s FP1 pace, putting him at the top ahead of Amirul Affiq and Alvinderjit. Raudhatul and Teuku completed the list of the five fastest riders of the day. Kamarul shared, “I feel happy being the fastest today because I crashed here before, which caused some trauma. But Alhamdulillah, after just two laps I managed to get back into rhythm. For Race 1, since it’s now the rainy season, we’ve gained new knowledge for wet conditions as well. If you ask any rider, of course we all want to improve further, so we’ll first work on getting the timing needed to move up to Category A. If we achieve that, we’ll definitely join next season.” SIC AND TWMR WOULD LIKE TO EXPRESS OUR HEARTFELT THANK YOU TO AEON CREDIT (M) BERHAD FOR THE SUPPORT RENDERED THIS WEEKEND DURING AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP.
