AZROY DID IT AGAIN!

AZROY DID IT AGAIN!

Race 2 of the MSBK1000 A category at Round 2 of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP delivered an intense fight at the PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Azroy Hakeem Anuar of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA secured a hard-fought victory in the MSBK1000 A category.

When the race started, Muhd Helmi Azman of HONDA RACING MALAYSIA got off the line well to lead the pack, while Md Amir Izzat Rozali of HORIZON RACING TEAM suffered an early crash. Azroy Hakeem Anuar then seized the lead, closely shadowed by Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of HONG LEONG YAMAHA MALAYSIA. Helmi dropped to third, with Adam Norrodin of AMI SUZUKI MOTORSPORT and Lachlan Epis of SAVITAR TEAM ASIA running fourth and fifth respectively.

On lap 2, Azroy and Kasma continued an intense battle for the lead, while Adam passed Helmi to take third.

By lap 3, Kasma set the fastest lap at 2’06.736s as he hunted down Azroy. On lap 4, Azroy responded with an even faster 2’06.548s lap at a top speed of 288.8 km/h, staying just ahead as he and Kasma pulled 1.232 seconds clear of the pack. Helmi retook third from Adam to stay in podium contention.

By lap 7, Azroy was still leading but Kasma was closing the gap and attempted a move, only for Azroy to reclaim the lead immediately.

On lap 9, Kasma finally made a successful pass on Azroy.

The final lap saw Azroy strike back at Turn 1, but Kasma retook the lead immediately. Helmi closed in on the leading duo, with less than one second covering the top three.

In a dramatic final turn, Azroy made his move, overtaking Kasma and powering to the line to win in 21’14.641s. Kasma finished a close second at 21’14.871s, with Helmi securing third in 21’15.467s.

Azroy shared, “During the race, I just tried to push myself to go beyond my limits. I treated this as an extra intensive training session where I could test different approaches to prepare myself for the bigger stage, which is the ARRC in Japan next week. I’ll make full use of the experience I gained here.”
