AKID DID IT AGAIN

The opening round of the 2025 AEON CREDIT MAM MALAYSIA SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP was held at PETRONAS Sepang International Circuit. Md Akid Md Shah Khearul Nisian of PS RACING TEAM won Race 2 for the YAMAHA Y16ZR Race MasterClass race category.

Akid put on a good show by leading the pack as soon as the race started. In P2 was Mohd Ikram Dani Mohd Esa of LKT RACING, followed closely.

During the race, the riders’ position changed on each lap, with every rider battling for the top spot, making the potential winner for Race 2 unpredictable.

In the final lap, there was more aggressive competition between riders, and two riders—Md Al Syakir Zulfayzi of TAKONG RACING and Danish Rifqi Yusnizam of ENG HUAT MOTORSPORT—crashed.

Akid won the race at 17’58:781s. Ikram placed second at 17’58:786s. Md Iman Fahmi Senin of KSENG MOTOR took third spot at 17’59:035s.

Akid stated, “During the race, my primary goal was simply to give my best. As the final lap approached, I saw an opportunity and didn’t want to let it slip away. And it ultimately paid off in the last corner. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my team and everyone who has supported me. I will continue to put in my best effort for the upcoming rounds.”
